Meet Our Principal: Mrs. Deena Rodriguez
Mrs. Deena Rodriguez joined the Corona-Norco Unified School District in January 2016 and brings more than 30 years of experience in education, including 13 years serving as a high school administrator. Throughout her career, Mrs. Rodriguez has had the opportunity to serve students and families in a variety of roles, experiences that have shaped her belief that every student deserves the opportunity, support, and encouragement to find success.
Mrs. Rodriguez began her career in education as an Attendance Verifier before becoming an Instructional Assistant, where she discovered her passion for working directly with students. Her journey continued through a variety of student-centered roles, including RSP teacher, Testing Coordinator, Dean of Discipline, and Behavior Intervention Specialist. These experiences provided her with a broad understanding of the academic, behavioral, social, and personal needs that can impact a student's educational journey.
As Principal of Lee V. Pollard High School, Mrs. Rodriguez is committed to creating a school environment where students feel valued, supported, and capable of achieving their goals. She believes strongly in the power of relationships and in creating opportunities for students to discover their strengths, develop confidence, and prepare for life beyond high school. Her leadership philosophy centers on fostering an environment that values diversity, social growth, academic achievement, and lifelong learning for both students and staff.
At Pollard, Mrs. Rodriguez works alongside staff to ensure that every student, in every classroom, every day has access to meaningful learning experiences and the support necessary to succeed. She is especially passionate about helping students recognize their potential and preparing them to become productive, responsible, and civic-minded members of an ever-changing world.
Mrs. Rodriguez is proud to be part of the Lee V. Pollard High School community and looks forward to continuing to build a school where students can find success, discover their strengths, and learn to love school again.
Every Day is a Great Day at Pollard High!
