Meet Mr. Gulizia, our HVAC teacher
Encourage, inspire and innovation are hallmarks of my teaching method within the HVAC/R
classes at Lee Pollard High School. As a Best-in-Kind education facility, we are committed to
ensuring excellence across a wide range of disciplines, professions and skills while also
encouraging newfound abilities across many disciplinary boundaries. In so doing, Lee Pollard
High School advances technical information, addresses pressing public trade requirements and
creates a program enriched by diverse perspectives where all individuals can thrive within an
essential industry.
The basis for quality instruction is to ensure that the instructor always has concern for the
student’s welfare and education as the primary responsibilities. As your child’s instructor, I set
the tone of the class and act as a compass in guiding their learning experiences. For our
students to succeed, I must be a teacher, a mentor, a coach, a motivator, and a good listener.
I am quite familiar with the duties and career responsibilities having experienced more than
fifteen years in higher education and thirty years in Facilities Management along with
possessing Contractors licenses within Electrical, Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning and
Refrigeration. I have developed Blended Learning Curriculum and courses for HVAC-R,
additionally, I have designed the entire HVAC/R program and Laboratory space for In/Tech,
Chaffey College at Chino Adult School and San Joaquin Valley College all are life changing career
education experiences. I think we have and will continue to develop this best-in-kind education
program at Lee Pollard High School in Corona, CA.
I graduated with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a bachelor’s degree in
Corporate Training, with multiple certifications within Civil and Mechanical Engineering and
Universal refrigerant, 410A and HC/HFO’s safe handling of equipment. For thirty years I worked
as Director of Facilities supervising engineers at Hughes Aircraft and UCLA.
It has been very rewarding to share knowledge and experiences with students as an educator. It
has been my privilege to watch students grow and thrive within the skilled trades. It has also
been my pleasure to place students with industry partners and hear about their career success.
Being able to place students into the workforce has changed the trajectory of their lives and
that of their families.
I wish all our students the Best of Luck on their "Educational Journey". I expect that each
student will invest very well in their own educational bank account so when it comes time to
make a withdrawal and receive a "Career" offer, their investment will be available to them.
Best Regards,
Mr. G
