Mr. Fernandez is entering his 13th year
at Lee V. Pollard High School as a Counselor and second year as Head Counselor.
He has been one of two counselors that has served at Lee V. Pollard formally
Buena Vista High School since moving to its current location. Our school offers
the opportunity of a second chance for students to believe in themselves,
create hope, and inspire to be our leaders of tomorrow. He enjoys working with
all the staff and families as a team encouraging students to succeed, working
towards recovery of their credits, and meet their goals. He is also a part of our EL
Team and Coordinates our Foster Youth program with the district office. Mr.
Fernandez has been a counselor for over 20 years serving in Anaheim, Compton
and Santa Ana school districts. Previously he has served as a Puente Counselor
and EL Coordinator. Mr. Fernandez received his B.A. degree from Cal State
Fullerton and his Masters in Counseling and PPS Credential from Cal State Long
Beach. Mr. Fernandez grew up in Anaheim and attended Anaheim High School. He is
married to his wife Guadalupe. They have five children, one girl and four boys.
They all have attended CNUSD schools. Mr. Fernandez is a big time Angels and Raiders fan and enjoys fishing out in the ocean.
