English Learner (EL Program)

Lee V Pollard High School serves English Language Learners with heart, tenacity, and high expectations for a successful future. Our focus is to increase academic English proficiency levels to ensure every English Learner can access all subject coursework. Through English Language Development classes (ELD 5 and ELD 6), we incorporate leadership skills applicable to various professional settings. We take great pride in developing cultural-linguistic assets that are crucial in rapidly changing professional fields.

LVPHS has after school tutoring, Saturday Academy, and ELPAC bootcamp for our English Learners. In addition, we have a highly supportive ELAC (English Language Advisory Committee). Parents/guardians of our English Learners feel welcomed and encouraged to be part of our Pollard familia.
